Abstract
The Annual Conference on Innovation in higher education serves as a pivotal annual gathering for education reformers, featuring a series of activities including keynote speeches, high-level forums, teacher development workshops, and seminars. The conference aims to convene individuals passionate about higher education reform and innovation - those with ideas, vision and practical experience - to foster consensus on transformative change, explore pathways for educational evolution, share successful reform practices, and forge collaborative partnerships for systemic advancement.
The on-site final of the XJTLU National University Teaching Innovation Award (TIA) will be held concurrently. Established to recognize and honor higher education faculty who champion the "student-centered" pedagogical philosophy, the TIA aims to propagate innovative practices in teaching reform. By providing structured support for educators to refine their instructional innovation concepts and multiple platforms for showcasing their work, the competition creates a collaborative ecosystem for
sharing, learning, and co-creating the future of education, thereby advancing China's higher education reform. The 11th TIA officially launched on May 18, 2025. Following a rigorous selection process including initial document review and expert panel evaluation, 50 teams have advanced to the final stage. These finalists will present their projects in live sessions, where judges will evaluate based on both presentations and Q&A sessions. The award ceremony for the 11th TIA will be held on the evening following the competition, where the organizing committee will present accolades across multiple categories of teaching innovation excellence.
