Knowledge and skills
By the time you graduate, you will:
- understand various ways in which businesses can be organised and managed effectively;
- critically and holistically analyse the organisation and operations of businesses across different industries;
- apply a range of quantitative and qualitative research methods, including data analysis skills, to solve business problems; and
- comprehend the social, cultural, and economic contexts in which businesses operate.
The BA Business Administration programme focuses on both soft and hard skill sets that students can apply in real-world problem-solving situations. It equips them with interpersonal communication, teamwork, and critical thinking skills. Upon graduation, students are well-prepared for further study or entry into the real business world.

Dr Ying Guo

Business administration is a highly integrated discipline that covers a wide range of courses, such as economics, accounting, marketing, and human resource management. While it may seem complex and diverse at first, understanding how these areas connect reveals that business is everywhere. When you enter the workforce, regardless of your role, the knowledge and skills you’ve developed will empower you to stand out, seize opportunities, and achieve your full potential.
